IT Manager International Business Division - Cape Town

Key Purpose To lead a team of specialists in providing IT systems and services which meet strategic and operational objectives of International Business Division (IBD) in; - Business system solutions, project and process management - Cost effective service and systems delivery, technology exploitation, systems support - IBD & Affiliate IT budgets, IT tactical & business plans, people & relationship management Key Responsibilities - IT Service Delivery - IT Support - Team Management - People Management - Relationship Management - Technology Exploitation Specific Outcomes - Provide input to IS strategy for IBD - Define tactical plans for IBD with input from Divisional and IS Management - Input to business plan and management of own budgets - Align architectures and governance with support from Architectures and Governance Manager - Ensure appropriate governance, methodologies, policies and procedures compliance by team - Manage delivery of solutions according to agreed Divisional priorities - Manage maintenance and support of applications assisted by the COE - Manage customer relationships with Division and end users - Negotiate third party service provider SLAs and the performance thereof - Manage incident and problem resolution within agreed SLAs - Liaise with Facilities and Infrastructure Manager and/or third parties to deliver required infrastructure - Manage IT operating environments - Manage IBD IT systems, services and support - Ensure security strategy in place with support from Architectures and Governance Manager - Manage application fixes and security patches - Manage outages for maintenance within outage periods (release management) - Participate in the change management forum when required and relevant - Manage system availability and capacity - Provide input into IS and business continuity planning - Coordinate internal and external audits Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knowledge: -IT Knowledge (Broad) -Business Acumen -General computer literacy -ITIL & COBIT frameworks -SAP & Accpac -Systems and applications -Project Management Skills: -Coaching skills -Leadership skills -Interpersonal skills -Communication skills -People skills -Problem solving and analytical skills Attributes: -Learning orientation -Emotional intelligence (self-awareness and personal mastery) -Customer focus -Assertive -Proactive -Attention to detail -Ability to lead -Team Player -Technical aptitude -Innovative Qualifications & Experience - Relevant Degree or Diploma - Accpac and / or SAP modules certification - ITIL, COBIT, A+, MCSE, PMP - Minimum 12 years industry / functional IT experience , 5 years of which must have been in a management / leadership position - Candidate must be prepared to travel to IBD Affiliates Closing Date : 01 July 2012 Equity Requirements : The appointment will be made in line with Company's Equity Strategy
