IT OPERATIONS MANAGER

Permanent, full time position
Starting date: ASAP / 1 April 2017
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Qualification: Diploma or degree in computer science or equivalent with minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT support, administration or operations.
Salary: Cost to company package of around R37 000 – R44 000

? Delegate duties and tasks within the IT department team that will service a group of companies with ±350 staff members.
? Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards.
? Monitor all team members and provide necessary advice and guidance.
? Perform periodic risk assessments and initiate risk control strategies.
? Coach all team members and motivate them to produce desired results.
? Organize attendance of required seminars and training to keep team members up to date with new techniques and methods.
? Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry.
? Perform regular IT audits to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them.
? Work alongside other departments to achieve company goals and visions.
? Provide relevant reports to the management.
? Provide solutions to any complex IT related challenges in the organization.
? Perform regular appraisal of team member’s performance and devise strategies to help with improvement.
? Carry out in-depth research to reveal new and better methods of handling functions within the department.
? Ensure that the company’s data and information are protected from unauthorized access.
? Supervise procurement, repair and maintenance of all IT and telecoms technologies.

Requirements
The key qualities, skills, abilities, attitudes and previous experience required in a candidate for the IT Operations Manager position, include the following:
