Requirements and skills
? Minimum Grade 12 qualification (preferably with Maths and Science).
? Basic Linux skills (this is essential)
? 1-2 years IT exp
? IT related qualification
? Networking – CCNA level
? Advanced Word and Excel skills
? Microsoft Window server skills
? Understanding of applications and networking
? Exp in installation & set-up of networks, servers or workstations will be an advantage
? English (read, write & speak)

Duties
? Operation of monitoring systems for clients
? First line support offered
? Act on alarms and other associated commands or messages displayed on monitors / displays
? Monitoring of client's infrastructure, according to SLA
? Perform system administration tasks & maintain database of monitored objects
? Health checks & compilation of reports
? SPOT administration maintained
? QA reports completed
? Standard report generated on request
? Patch and/or hot fix release testing completed
? All hardware kept in good working condition to ensure high levels of productivity
? Stress report generated on a monthly basis
? RT systems maintained
