RS Recruitment Services is assisting an international FINANCIAL SERVICES SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT company, to recruit a PRODUCT EXPERT to be based in their offices in BRYANSTON, JHB.

Job Description

Our client is looking for a technically minded person to lead on several major existing and greenfields projects in the international financial services and data space. The role will require the candidate to work from the ground up from initial kick off meetings with all stakeholders, through the full SDLC resulting in the eventual delivery of world class hosted applications.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to architect and understand the moving components required in an enterprise scale solution to client’s needs, as well as engaging with all levels of management around delivery, including escalation where relevant.

The candidate should have a proven track record in the delivery of software product, ideally hosted applications in the finance sector. The role will require a strong blend of technical acumen, business analysis & project management to ensure the successful and accurate deployment of a finished product, and managing the support cycle thereafter as required.

Responsibilities

1. Managing all aspects of the SDLC:
- Upfront business requirements analysis
- High level technical design (where possible within the candidate’s skillset)
- Translation of the requirements into a highly transparent and active plan, including on collation of work effort
- Estimation
- Allowing for, and managing scope creep
- Functional testing as needed, but working with QA team and developers on the continuous delivery of product
- Managing the prioritisation of the developer backlog against internal and external deadlines and expectations
- Documentation on all aspects as required, directing BA’s as necessary
- Costing and managing cost against budget as needed

2. Working with the developers around the various components, running product workshops and meetings, focusing
on design where needed
3. Leading problem solving and troubleshooting of the application against user requests and issues
4. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and managing delivery
5. Presentations, demos and on-screen web conferencing as required during the iterative delivery and ongoing
support/reaction to feedback

Remuneration:

Approx. R50k +, negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications. Medical aid benefit included.
