A Software Development Company, on the West Rand, specialising in providing software products and services mainly to the Mining Industry, is looking to employ an IT Programmer/Software Developer at an Intermediate or Senior level, as soon as possible.

- Experience: Minimum 3 years of broad exposure to the SDLC (software development lifecycle)
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification: IT Programming diploma or degree
- Cost to company: R390 000 to R520 000 per annum. Neg.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain, improve and support current software products
- Design and develop new products
- Software consulting including custom software development and general ICT consulting services
- Manage training programmes and ongoing client relationship management
- Prepare quotations and proposals for new business

KEY ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

The successful candidate must, without exception, be proficient in the following technologies:

- In-depth experience with VB.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio
- VB 6, although not a common skill and not entirely essential to the position
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Solid experience with the .NET Framework

ADVANTAGEOUS TECHNICAL SKILLS (Not essential)

- C#
- ASP.NET
- MVC (Model-View-Controller)
- MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel)
- EF (Entity Framework)
- Kendo, Telerik, DevExpress
