A dynamic niche company, part of a leading Financial Institution, with a business focus on eCommerce, New Innovation, Technology and Rewards seeks an IT Risk Manager. The person should have sound Information and Technology understanding (architecture, application, database, network, operation system etc.) 

Qualifications and experience:

• BSC Degree or BComm IT Degree
• CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM and post graduate business, accounting, IT and/or risk management qualifications recommended
• Minimum 4 years’ experience with relevant IT, risk, auditing, banking governance and compliance
• Business continuity and IT disaster recovery management exposure
• Working knowledge of software development cycle
• Comprehensive understanding of potential IT risks across the software development cycle
• Understand the risks associated with: operating system, database, applications/interfaces; network device, web technologies, teamwork typology encryption, middleware

Other:

• Implement business performance and risk management frameworks and relevant risk methodologies
• Establish a sound risk management culture and drive the importance of compliance.
• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice
• Translate strategies into goals and execute relevant projects
• Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
