What you do:

• Serving as SME on application security and collaborating with software development teams to provide technical guidance to implement appropriate security solutions, mechanisms and/or controls that address business requirements;
• Consulting on technical security issues/incidents as needed;
• Initiating and conducting manual/automated code reviews (via risk assessments);
• Working with product teams and product owners to understand and formulate security requirements for large internet-facing, enterprise software applications;
• Using your in-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, ActiveX, SNM, Ethernet);
• Performing network surveillance and problem detection, analysis and resolution (snort, wireshark);
• Providing network security risk and vulnerability assessments, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks for small to large systems that are complex in nature; and,
• Participating in Agile SCRUM activities such as daily standup, sprint planning and retrospective meetings.

Job Requirements 

• Computer Science/Engineering degree,
• 6+ years' of Java/Enterprise Java development experience
• 2+ years' security experience
• Are an expert with application server technologies, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Web Services (JAX-RS/JAX-WS), REST and Hibernate
• You have in-depth knowledge of and experience with Java security technologies, Single-sign-on and identity management technologies. 
• Expertise with web system security concepts, including multi-factor authentication , authorization (RBAC), encryption/hashing,
• LDAP and knowledge of cross-site scripting (XSS), session hijacking, SQL injection, CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery), OWASP Top 10, and other attack vectors is also a requirement.
• It will be to your advantage to have PCI / Banking/ Online payment or security experience. 

This role calls for someone who is analytical, enjoys problem solving and is able to take responsibility for complex long running tasks in a deadline driven, highly pressurised environment. You will need to be comfortable with leading a team and as always good communication skills are key on the job.
