Our client based in Johannesburg is seeking an IT Security Specialist with security systems such as Verdasys, Qualys and Sysco security system.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant IT Degree or National Diploma.
• Traveling Internationally (Zim, Zambia and DRC) - probably once a month.
• 12+ years’ experience.

Tools used:

• Qualys.
• Verdasys.
• Iron port.
• Cisco WSA.
• Crowdstrike.
• Splunk.

Responsibilities:

• Tactical role in team – required to do security system Verdasys and Qualys.
• Review and identify key risks, issues, and dependencies and set mitigation actions.
• Directly handles and resolves access management tickets in Production across operations as per their SLA and RACI.
• Directly handles and resolves any other security operations tickets in Production covering antivirus, patching, firewall, reverse proxy, forward proxy, Network and Web Application vulnerability management.
• Provide security expertise and thought leadership throughout IT Operations with an emphasis on operational security.
• Develop the business, information and technical artefacts that constitute the enterprise information security architecture and solutions.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the IT Operations information security operating plan.
• Analyse business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
• Communicate and document information security risks and solutions to Projects stream leads and IT staff.
• Monitoring and administration of Sophos UTM encompassing Firewall, VPN, ATP.
• IPS, email, web filtering and app control technologies.
• Assessment of current and planned controls and alignment of IT security to business objectives.
• Digital forensic investigations for workstations and servers.
• Solutions reviewed include but not limited to: ArcSight, QRadar, and Splunk.

Salary: R 800 000 – 1 million per annum depending on work experience and skill level. Salary is Negotiable depending on experience and skill level.
