Our reputation has won us another large project and we now need to expand our infrastructure capabilities. We are looking for a Systems Administrator to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. You will demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
 
Your Challenges
Join our infrastructure team to:
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution
  • Manage and document system configurations
  • Coordinate system development tasks to include design, integration  and  formal testing
What will it take?
  • Diploma/Degree in IT/Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • 1 -3 years working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux based environments.
  • 1-3 years experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g. Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle Database)
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., Oracle VM, Virtual Box)
  • Experience with monitoring systems
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Bash)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Provide internal IT and desktop support
  • Assist with general maintenance of facilities and security systems
  • Oracle certifications will be advantageous, e.g. Database 12c Administration, Oracle Weblogic12c Administration, Oracle VM Manager, etc.
