IT Systems Specialist / Cobol Programming, R. neg
Our client is currently recruiting for hands on individual who has experience in all aspects of IT software, maintenance and management as well as creation. More than 5 years’ experience is required coupled with a Diploma or Degree or relevant IT qualification. Experience in PC and Windows and proven COBOL programming experience.

Duties includes but not limited too:
• Responsible for the full software development cycle: from business specifications, system architecture, analysis and design, programming, testing and implementation, to user training and documentation
• Designing the program logic to meet the functional requirements as specified and deciding on the best coding techniques to ensure optimum program performance, maintainability, and ease of use, whilst adhering to existing programming standards
• Creating program documentation
• Testing and correcting each program individually and within the suite of programs
• Producing Change Management information
• Verification that all developed and impacted products are complete for implementation
• Assisting in the development of enhancements to existing systems
• System maintenance
• User support
• Do any other task as directed from time to time to gain additional experience
