An IT technician is required to assist / perform network installations at residential homes and businesses, throughout Gauteng. These installations consist of WiFi simulation testing, Access Point installation & configuration as well as testing and troubleshooting WiFi network related issues. The position will allow the technician to learn and develop skills within the WiFi and IP Network technology space. Good people skills and customer communication skills are essential as we mainly work within luxury residential houses. Candidate must have good positive energy, be interested in technology and willing to learn and develop.

Job Description/Essential Requirements:
Must have experience / attributes :
2 – 3 year IT Desktop or Mobile support experience – Windows, Mac, Android
WiFi client support & troubleshooting
Knowledge of Wireless Routers and WiFi as a technology (Router setup, PPPoE setup, 2.4 & 5GHz Wireless configurations, SSIDs, Authentication)
Solid people skills and communication skills
Code 8 driver’s license + 2 years driving experience essential
Technical ability / interest
Speak, read, write – English

Beneficial experience / attributes :
Knowledge of WiFi Access Points, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
Cabling experience (network cabling (CAT5e/6) and/or RF/DSTV and/or electrical cabling)
Basic experience in Networks
Attention to detail
