This is a very exciting role within our Translations Department at Digital Outsource Services. Operating within the e-commerce industry, we provide world-class services to our clients and their businesses.

The position is based in Cape Town, South Africa. We have over 700 multi-national employees as we provide services in the European Region, Canada and Australia. Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Provide first class translations and content, in Japanese, for use on any medium, including but not limited to:
o Translating from English
o Proof reading
o Editing
o Websites
o SEO content
o Reviews
o Press releases
o Mailers
o Blogs
o SMS marketing
o Direct marketing
o Promotions

• Work with and provide translations and content for various business partners including retention, acquisition, conversion, product and creative.
• Ensure consistency and quality of messaging across all segments
• Ensure translation and content projects are realized on time and to required quality
• Consultation with client to ensure understanding of brief/product requirements
• Ensure correct tone of messaging in terms of brand and medium
• Remain up-to-date with various online and other writing developments which may affect the brand and/or market
• Brainstorm, write and execute, as based on business requirements

Requirements:
• Relevant qualification (Diploma or Degree in Journalism, writing or languages)
• Have Japanese as a home language and fluency in English
• Minimum 1 years translation and/or writing experience
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in Japanese and English
• Proven ability to translate oral instructions and written literature from one language to another
• Excellent computer literacy ( MS Office , Internet, etc ) and typing skills
• A passion for languages and accuracy in translation
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Results and deadline driven
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured, deadline driven environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
