An insurance organisation with international platform that is renowned for excellence, innovation and financial strength seeks a Senior Java Developer, specialising in Security to ensure security is reflected at the design and development stages.

Responsibilities:
• Improve and develop security solutions
• Develop, test, and maintain quality security application software
• Analyse, maintain and enhance existing security
• Promote new technologies
• Recommend improvements, contribute and assist in rollout
• Code reviews to be performed to ensure security is appropriate
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities and deadlines

Qualifications:
• BSc Computer Science, BTech Degree / Information system degree
• Formal Java qualifications

Experience & Knowledege:
• 3 years Java systems development
• 1+ years security experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong Security Focused knowledge
• Understanding of IT governance, Risk and Compliance drivers
• Business Rules Management Frameworks
• Modelling languages & tools - UML, ArchiMate, Enterprise Architect, Visual Paradigm
• Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development
• Technical Lead experience
• Java EE
• XML/XSD/JAXB and Web Services
• Unit testing and mocking frameworks
• Application Servers (WebLogic)
• OO design principles and development patterns
• Spring
• Maven
