Senior Position

An insurance organisation with international platform that is renowned for excellence, innovation and financial strength seeks a Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities:
• Translate the technical designs and BRS into executable code without errors
• Translate business requirements into technical designs
• Find effective software solutions to technical issues
• Ensure that the application performs the functions as required by business
• Releases source code with zero defects
• Actively coach other developers
• Assist with technical support issues

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
• BSc Computer Science/Information system degree - Formal Java qualification
• 5 years of solid back-end Java development experience
• Sufficient experience in Java EE, JSF, JSP, Flex, JAXB, Webservice, JBOSS, UML, XML including XSD design
• At least 5 year’s experience in source code development

Processes
• SDLC - Unit Testing - Database structure design - Technical Change Control
Technologies
• Java EE - JSF - JSP - Flux - JAXB - Webservices - JBOSS - UML - XML/XSD including XSD Design - PL/SQL and RDBMS - HTML 5

• Business Writing - Software development within SDLC - Data modelling - UML Design abilities
