A leader in the banking sector seeks a Java Developer / Development Specialist (Development Team Lead)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Development Manager in managing the day-to-day development activities and line management functions of assigned Developers.
• Designing and implementing according to functional Specification,  development and maintenance and execution of source code of high quality, alignment to development standards and quality standards.
• Implementing, supporting, upgrading, training and maintaining the technology aspects that supports project deliverables.
• Identify, analyse and prioritise risks to the project / deliverables and determine appropriate risk management strategies
• Effectively developing and testing components, in accordance with the project's adopted standards, for integration in to larger subsystems
• Produce Quality code (minimal defects, adherence to standards)
• Knowledge of system and solution architecture
• Knowledge of the system or application being developed
• Effectively and efficiently facilitating solution level testing

Qualifications:

• B.Comm, B.Eng, B.Sc. Eng, B.Sc. Informatics or related degree / diploma.

Experience:
At least 4 years experience in the relevant technology being used as well as at least 1 years experience in managing teams of developers.

• Enterprise Service Bus (ESB knowledge) and related technologies like Web services, JMS, etc
• SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) & EIP (Enterprise Integration Pattern)
• TIBCO BW development skills
• Java background would be advantageous
• TIBCO EMS queue knowledge
• TIBCO MFT
• TIBCO Hawk would be advantageous
