Job Description:

A bouquet wine farm situated in the picturesque Stellenbosch, Cape Town is looking for a Junior Farm Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. They are offering a very good base salary per month negotiable (subject to qualifications and or experience)
The Junior Farm Manager reports directly to Viticulturist
Coordination of day to day production and farming tasks.
Responsible for pruning, irrigation fertilizing, weed control and pest control.
Planning ahead of viticulture actions with the team.
Purchase and control of chemicals and equipment.
Responsible for recordkeeping for audit purposes.
Continuous recording, monitoring and reporting of actions and decisions to Manager.
Liaison with appropriate service providers.
Liaison and coordination with external grapes buyers

Qualifications:

Proven experience of farming and farm management activities.
Be very strong administratively and be able to work accurately and systematically in a busy and dynamic environment.
Computer literate and bilingual.
Experience of IPW, WineMS, WIETA and Fairtrade.
Must live in the surrounding areas.
Minimum relevant Tertiary education (Elsenburg Diploma and / or university degree)
Good communication skills
Excel skills
General mathematical skills
