Established concern has a vacancy for a Financial Assistant to Assist the three Snr Financial Personnel.

Duties:

• Maintaining fixed assets registers
• Fixed assets register projects
• Certain monthly journal entries in Pastel Evolution
• Certain monthly accounting reconciliations
• Creating new accounts in Pastel Evolution
• Ad hoc daily / weekly / monthly projects
• Assisting debtors clerks when needed
• Assisting creditors clerks when needed
• Assisting bank, cash & sales team when needed
• Assisting the preparation for the audit
• Review some creditors reconciliations
• General assistant to the Financial Manager / Controller and Accountant

Skills needed:

• Strong excel skills (non-negotiable) – an excel test will be done during the interview process
• Pastel Evolution (advantage, but not necessary)
• Need to understand basic bookkeeping, debits / credits, journal entries
