PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Junior Instructional Designer will work as part of a team to design, develop and deliver fully online and blended courses and technology-enhanced instructional materials.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Updates and improves knowledge, skills and attributes pertaining to the instructional design process and related fields
• Identifies and describes target population and environmental characteristics
• Uses an instructional design and development process appropriate for a given project
• Organises instructional programmes and/or products to be designed, developed and evaluated
• Designs and develops instructional interventions/material
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• BA Degree or relevant Diploma in English, instructional design, instructional technology, curriculum design or other related discipline required
• 1 – 3 years professional experience in designing, developing and managing online, blended or other technology-mediated instruction
• Proficient in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, Four D Model etc.)
• Skilled in using MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A knowledge of other rapid development tools is an advantage
