Our client in the retail industry requires the service of a Junior Accountant.

Key performance areas:

? Posting of all journals in RSA books
? Posting some journals in Lesotho & Swaziland books
? Monthly VAT return calculations for RSA
? Butchery Bonus calculations monthly
? Monthly Income statement reporting to divisions in RSA
? Creditors payments (Weekly and monthly authorization)
? Shorts/Overs reporting
? Reconciliation and resolving queries
? Resolving queries from divisions on income statements
? Assisting with Monthly Management reporting and preparation of book
? Monthly calculations of RSA & Non RSA Stats (incl. Participations, etc.)
? Checking of Sales
? Reconciliation Book and review.
? Balancing of intergroup loan accounts and expenses
? Insurance postings
? Loan account reconciliation and Forex postings
? Keeping attendance register
? Adhoc duties and tasks.

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a B.Com Accounting degree or similar qualification
? 2 years’ experience in financial or management accounting
? Excellent written & verbal communication skills (Afrikaans & English)
? Must be accurate and precise
? Must be able to problem solve
