Salary: R15 000 – R23 000 per month depending on level of experience
Our client is currently looking for a Junior BI Developer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of production ready reports to be used by our extensive client base.

Duties:

• Develop BI reports using the Jaspersoft tool set
• Deliver reports on your own and in multi-person teams
• Maintain a high level of productivity and quality
• Work as part of a team without close supervision
• Conduct peer reviews as required
• Ensure that documentation is kept up to date
• Work with Project Leads to deliver successful projects as required

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1+ year experience Jaspersoft iReports / JS Studio development
• Java experience
• Solid understanding of the Data Warehouse Life Cycle
• Appreciation of Data Cleansing and Quality Management
• Documentation
• Exposure to JETL / Talend tools
• Understanding of NoSQL and BigData concepts

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Agile Development Methodology
• Version Control
• SQL Server and Oracle Databases
• NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra, Hadoop)
• JIRA / Confluence
