A company that provides products and services to research and diagnostic laboratories requires a Junior Biotechnology Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate’s key responsibilities will be to: provide customers with day to day quotations; make active sales calls and visits on a daily basis, provide sales advice to customers, follow up on customer queries; follow up on all quotations sent out and enquiries received.

Key Requirements: BSc (Hons.) or higher in a relevant scientific field. Good general knowledge of applications used in biological sciences e.g. antibodies, ELISA, western blotting, flow cytometry, PCR, qPCR or microarray. Driver’s licence, own car and willingness to travel essential. Only South African citizens need to apply.

Additional Requirements: Fluent in English and must be able to understand Afrikaans. Good problem solving skills, dedicated, willing to work overtime. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Normal working hours are 08h00 to 16h00. The successful candidate may be requested to perform certain duties over a weekend and afterhours e.g. attending conferences.

Remuneration: Competitive industry standard salary, car allowance, petrol card, mobile phone, laptop, 3G card, no medical aid or provident fund.
