We're URGENTLY seeking Junior Buyer - 12 Months - Sandton (Gauteng). You will be employed by our client in the Procurement department, and you will be responsible for the supply of products and services essential for our company’s operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
Carry out procurement (Direct and Indirect) for all purchase services, sourcing commodity lead for business functions.
Execute applicable/approved sourcing strategies and drive supplier negotiations to meet the quality, fulfilment and productivity requirements of the business, including:
Identification of suitable/appropriate suppliers
Articulation of service requirements
Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with the objective of meeting customer expectations on quality and timelines within stipulated budgets.
Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures and assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers.
Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.
Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements.
Act as a liaison between suppliers and the Requesting Unit to resolve procurement related problems.
Support Supplier Registration and Qualification
Collaborate with Requesting Units to understand the requirement and come up with best procurement and contracting strategy.
Experience in contracts structure and contract negotiation.
Audit Closure of related commodity.
Execute Procurement Annual Plans.
Collect and gather data on potential suppliers and carriers.
Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required.
Support and promote procurement processes among other business units.
Work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Business Management or similar.
Minimum 1 year of procurement experience in an international company
Fluent in English is mandatory
Advanced knowledge of Office MS and digital tools
Contract management and supplier experience is a plus

Package & Remuneration
Salary: R9 000 per month (non-negotiable)
Contract: 12 Months
