The successful candidate’s role will be assist clients in the insurance industry with configuring and implementing software and products that meet their clients. The role is therefore responsible for the interpretation of designs and specifications, compilation of detailed configuration specifications and advising clients on their life insurance products.

Duties
• Advise and assist clients with creating products
• Facilitate agile approach with clients and work with Solution Architect to assist client with regard to product configuration
• Drafting of product specifications and functional requirements analysis e.g. commission, reassurance specifications.
• Development of integration applications and tools in order to interface with the core of the policy administration system in order to accommodate for client specific requirements not catered for in the standard system.
• Client collaboration to gather and understand business requirements
• Use of SQL for investigation and reporting purposes on client databases
• Creation and maintenance of client specific methods in
• Read and write code as part of support issue investigation and new product configuration
• New product and process configuration on client databases
• Asset with setting up of various tools such as accounting, valuation, payment interface tool sets.
• Testing in an integrated environment in conjunction with internal and external development resources

Requirements
• BCom/BSc Computer Science/Informatics s or related qualification
• At least 1-2 of work experience in the insurance industry
• Product configuration experience is advantageous
• Good understanding of the insurance industry
• Technical savvy, experience with SQL, VB.Net
• Development experience
• Technical coding
• Experience in developing, maintaining and delivering solutions
• Understanding of client dynamics and requirements
