JUNIOR FIELD/SALES & MERCHANDISE REPRESENTATIVE – MERCHANDISING OF HARDWARE PRODUCTS
CAPE TOWN | R 8000 PER MONTH + PETROL ALLOWANCE | START JANUARY 2015

Our client is in the building industry and they supply SA’s leading Hardware Retailers / Merchants with goods including tools, plumbing, paint, hardware, garden ware etc. We are seeking a dynamic and driven Field manager to join their team and manage the client relations with the retailors, ensure stock is being correctly merchandise and train on product knowledge.
This candidate will be based in Cape Town and must have their own vehicle. The position will require traveling on a daily basis to various clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
Drivers licence
Own car and phone
Clear ITC and criminal record
Previous Sales & Merchandising experience is essential
Previous experience within merchandising and management is non negotiable
Similar product / industry experience is ideal

DUTIES:

Management of merchandising staff in chain stores in the Western Cape
Ensure products in store are maintained are priced correctly and in selling condition
Ensure in store merchandisers are up to date with product knowledge and procedures
Following protocol to ensure
Raising adhoc orders from suppliers
Stock counts
Ensure smooth supplier roll outs
Daily reports to Head Office. (Stock/order reports)
Daily call sheets to be sent to Head Office
Managing all correspondence
Training of in store merchandisers to ensure high standards of merchandising is met
Recall of age stock for store upliftment
Advise Head Office of competitor pricing
Obtain new business leads
Photos of merchandising to be sent to Head Office
Built and maintain relationships with in store management and suppliers
Ensure all stock rooms are in in line with company standards
Update of in-house system
Reporting to Senior Field manager
