Summary:

The Procurement person will be a part of Procurement team at SA Location. Person is responsible for (but not limited to) managing sourcing and procurement of goods and services at various locations of South Africa and working closely with corporate procurement team in India. The position will be based out in Cape town.

The role requires to manage various category of requirements for IT and BPO industry. Role does demand effective stakeholder engagement across the functions including working with local leadership.

Key responsibilities: Procurement Manager

Overall :

· Demonstrate “Sound Knowledge and Proven Experience” about Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, SCM and Compliances.

· Manage sourcing and procurement for the various categories, (Including IT and Non IT) for the requirements of various indenters in SA. (Indenters are internal customers who request for goods and services to procurement team)

· Comfortable operating at the strategic level in giving solutions as trusted advisor.

· Build customer satisfaction through effective Performance and stake holder management

· Build Synergy with key stake holders including Indenters to enhance the performance and speed of the process

· Evaluate and enhance our management of local spend by researching and prospecting developments and tapping future potential opportunities.

· Manage every aspect of the procurement supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible dependencies to ideal efficiency

· Align and Execute policies and procedures that will ensure compliance as well as keeping end user satisfaction intact.

· Building a process improvement framework through good business analysis and process optimization techniques.

· Establish effective operations controls to achieve the desired performance levels

· Drive operational excellence and improved performance, Zeal to achieve improvements in the performance and KRA’s as per agreed SLA’s.

Specifics:

· Anticipate and assess indenters needs and objectives through strategic planning and relationship management.

· Develop, hone and execute new improved procurement strategies across the assigned channels of purchasing as well as stakeholder requirements

· Perform Spend, Cost analysis and Market benchmarking and advise stakeholders to have them aligned with the Sourcing strategy and business strategy.

· Perform RFx Management, Develop Negotiations Strategy, Conduct Supplier Assessment and Execute Effective Negotiations

· Manage Contract Finalization by liaising effectively with Legal Stakeholders and Suppliers.

· Coordinate for deliveries goods and services.

· Review supplier performance and identify improvement areas as well as scope for new supply base.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE, knowledge and education

Essential:

· 6 to 8 years of Procurement experience majorly in IT as well as Non-IT categories.

· Strong understanding of the Source to pay process in captive environment.

· Very good exposure to ERP implementation / environment as a user; specially Oracle

· Good analytical skills

· Excellent Stakeholder relationship skills

· A track record of strong operational delivery by working in a team of Sourcing and Procurement space

· Proven track record of driving change in people and processes, with strong project management, implementation and process improvement skills

· Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity

· Data driven action orientation, with strong reporting, data analysis, presentation skills, and organizational abilities

· Knowledge of project and program management desirable

· Must have worked in a dynamic sourcing and procurement environment with some of the years managing Strategic Sourcing.

· Negotiation and communication skills are mandatory

· Performance management skills

· Learn and retain quickly. SOX knowledge desired

Desirable:

· Candidate from the IT / BPO industry desirable

· Process improvement experience / Certification

· Good knowledge of technology platforms and systems

· Consensus building skills

Education:
