A company located on a farm in the Durbanville area requires a Junior Shift Supervisor to work in their Ready Egg division. The key duties will include but is not limited to: operating Ready Egg equipment (washer and breaker, pasteuriser and filling machines), Ready Egg daily stock monitoring and production planning; completing daily checks and checklists; completing daily production targets and records; managing Ready Egg staff with regards to tasks, cleaning and responsibilities; ensure all hygiene and processing procedures are followed; ensure Leaker Fridge is emptied on a regular basis; record and report breakdowns and maintenance needed; constant surveillance and assessment of “Liquid Egg Quality” throughout production, storage and despatch; weekly stock check on chemical requirements; assist with liquid egg stock taking; regular cleaning inspections (cool rooms, equipment, lugs and pallets, etc.); complete Pest Monitoring Officer duties.

Key Requirements: Matric but a relevant college qualification would be advantageous; 1-2 years’ experience in a factory environment non-negotiable; valid drivers’ license and reliable vehicle to travel to the farm. Willing to work shifts (Morning shift – 07:30 to 16:00 or Afternoon shift: 11:00 to 19:15).

Additional Requirements: Good communication skills; leadership qualities; team-player; attention to detail and diligent. Technically minded to operate machines and report on faults. Candidates who live in surrounding areas will have an advantage.

Remuneration: R10 000 per month.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
