Leading Internet service provider looking for a new technician to join our successful enterprise.
Candidates must be proficient in all things Internet. We are a Google Partner so any Gsuite or similar qualifications would be an advantage.
As this is a Junior position, training will be given, however experience in an ISP environment would make for an ideal candidate.
Linux experience would be a big plus and increase the offer to those candidates that have the know how.
The following KPI's will be expected.
- Ensure calls are recorded in the CRM system, accurately documented and categorised.
- Ensure that all the incidents / requests are responded to within required SLA.
- Provide telephonic / remote support.
- Ensure clients are kept up to date regarding their incidents and requests.
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems.
- Maintain a high degree of first time resolution for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles as directed.
- To take ownership of end-user issues and problems and be pro-active when dealing with user issues and help them resolve any hardware or software problems.
- Ensure connectivity of IT systems to the Internet.
- To support users remotely as well as on site as directed.
- To escalate more complex calls according to the escalation procedure keeping ownership for the duration of the problem.
- Keep an asset register for all company IT hardware/software.
Qualifications
- Matric or N4 Qualification
- A+ and N+
- Hard worker and willingness to learn
Experience Required
- 2 years performing a support/maintenance role in a predominantly Microsoft based network environment.
- Delivering first level desktop application support. e.g. MS Office.
- Drafting of IT related documentation
- Ethernet network Topology fault finding and routing
- Installation and maintenance of routers and firewalls.
