Location: South Africa (work from home initially)
Salary: R60,000 - R70,000 per month
We are an IT company based in the UK that specialises in the design and development of process-driven business systems for our customers.  We are looking to employ a technical development manager on a permanent basis to jointly manage a team of highly skilled developers located in SA, UK and India. Please note this candidate must be able to travel to Pretoria on regular basis for meetings

Main purpose of the role:
  • To lead and manage the successful delivery of software developed in workflow and Microsoft based technologies.
  • To be the primary interface between customers and the development function for this.
  • Ensure the implementations are in line with enterprise architecture, principals and agreed design, and a quality service is delivered into test and production environments successfully.
  • Ensure systems are developed in an accelerated time to market fashion.
  • This role will involve line management responsibilities.
Knowledge, skills and experience
  • Proven track record of managing the development of enterprise systems.
  • Highly experienced leadership in the implementation of process-driven and Microsoft based systems.
  • Able to negotiation project scope of acceptable changes within the project.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Understanding of techniques for identifying, eliminating or mitigating solution, project, and business risk.
  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Hands-on experience in managing on-shore/off-shore developments and associated engagement models.
  • Existing or previous K2 & Microsoft Technical development background a must.
