Minimum requirements:
• Grade 12
• A recognised degree in Water Treatment / Electrical from an accredited University and or Technical institution is not essential but will be advantageous
• Minimum 2 years’ service experience in a similar position within Water Treatment (non-municipal environment) will be essential.
• Self-Motivated and driven individual
• Code 08 Valid Driver’s Licence is essential
• Willingness to travel (Africa)
• Practical - Mechanical / Technical / Electrical abilities

Duties:
• Install, maintain, test and repair electrical equipment at Water Treatment sites
• Install, maintain, test and repair Water Treatment equipment at Water Treatment sites
• Inspect electrical installations to determine maintenance requirements and or improving systems / procedures
• Examine various electrical systems and make recommendations for new equipment, repairs and modifications
• Draw and read electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and /or diagrams
• Ensure that electrical systems based on applicable Water Treatment plants adhere to all Governmental laws and relevant Acts
• Attend to breakdowns as and when required
• Ensure continues trouble shooting on pumps, Water Treatment equipment and installations.
• Report compilation and use of job cards
• Attend to applicable administrative functions
• Communicate on a regular basis with superior informing on operations and potential sales feedback
• Take responsibility for all client requirements and ensure good communication around problem issues.
• Ensure that funding allocated for purchased goods are used in an efficient manner
• Conducting and performing Chemical Stock management, ensure minimum/maximum levels are adhered to
• Develop and create new business opportunity on site
• Ensure Chemicals used have necessary compliant spec sheets (SOP on mixing instructions, material safety data sheets in place)
• Ensure that all client dosing stations, Softener Plants are in good order, including clean and tidy
• Focus and ensure customer service and satisfaction
• Perform Water Treatment analysis to ensure the integrity of customer’s equipment and plant is operating efficiently.
• Ensure all Water tests and reports are kept up to date and feedback is presented to the client and management
• Maintain the company image by being professional at all times
