Our internationally recognized client in the FMCG Industry is looking to appoint a Key Account Manager that as a tertiary qualification with a minimum of 5 years sales experience in Consumer Products and that understands the FMCG Customer.
Job responsibilities & duties will include (but not limited to):
- Develop key account business plans yearly with quarterly reviews by category
- Price increase negotiations
- Trading term negotiations
- Book promotional slots in line with marketing strategy
- New products listings
- Growing of sales
- Monitor slippageon sell-in of price increase
- Monitor changes in trading terms agreement VS current year
- Sell-in the promotion & gain support at store level against an agreed BDF budget
- List new products relevant to the customers profile
- Analyse sales history, seasonality, market intelligency & market trends bearing in mind the companies product strategy to determine the business plan
- Prepare a compelling argument to justify the price increase & trading agreement
- Sales call for new products with accompanying sales tools etc.
- Prepare sales call & justification of proposed training terms
- Prepare a sales call highlighting the commercial importance of the promotion
- Agree your BDF mandate & store universe
- Determine SKU's applicable for the customer
- Prepare a detailed sales call motivating the introduction of the new product utilizing all the sales
Candidate Requirements
Tertiary Qualification
Own car & valid driver's license
Minimum 5 years sales experience in consumer products
Understanding the FMCG Customer
Advanced Excel & Spreadsheet experience
PowerPoint
MS Word
Willing to travel and to meet customers
