The main purpose of the position is to maintain & grow the company client base through promoting & selling the full product range. It is important that the successful incumbent understands thet they represent the company in all their customer dealings and that they are the key stakeholder & main contact person for the customer into the company.

Primary Objectives
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers
  • Identify new markets, business opportunities, grow and service existing customers
  • Identify clients’ markets and design a sales strategy to fit each clients’ requirements, while advising clients on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
  • Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on future buying trends
  • Represent company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Understand and successfully complete the sales cycle to meet monthly targets
  • Provide customer with necessary product support and maintain the relationship between the customer and the service department
  • Follow-up with work in progress to ensure customer satisfaction and prompt delivery of goods

  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers
  • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations
  • Gather market and customer information and providing feedback on future buying trends
  • Attend product training programmes and study and know the relevant product range
  • Escalate problematic issues to the Sales or Product Managers timeously
  • Inform the database of new content uploaded on the intranet where relevant
  • Manage Database of Credit availability and highlight problems to the accounts department
  • Assist with other job related duties as and when required
  • Upkeep of general database
  • General update and maintenance of all admin and filing
Education and Experience
  • Matric
  • 2+ years’ experience in a sales environment in a professional organization
  • Exceptional Customer Service experience
  • Computer Literate

  • Not afraid to cold call customers and sell up

  • Ability to work under pressure

Accountabilities
  • Target, GP and Customer Breadth targets to be sent out monthly and will need to be achieved
  • Achieve exceptional ratings in client services
  • Sell key components as required by management or PM
  • Complete all allocated training
  • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets given
  • Drive sales of all company products, by developing, identifying and securing all relevant sale opportunities
