Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to take up the role of a Knowledge-base Administrator.

Responsibilities
To perform technical data mining and solution design activities
To populate the entries into the Knowledge system to enable Operations and Technical Support staff to effectively and efficiently consume knowledge (40% of time spent)
To create new knowledge cases based on information provided by Service Desk staff and Subject Matter Expert, , Service Delivery Managers on Problems and high impact Incidents
To build and maintain positive relationships with key stake holders within the wider business and continuously improve adoption rates in order to drive knowledge management value on a functional level
To manage and ensure the quality of knowledge input into Knowledge Management systems by correcting entries and ensuring that quality standards for proposed cases are followed.
To identify internal and external Knowledge Management training requirements, to be delivered via Computer Based Training
Analyse the usage of knowledge cases and propose plans for improvement together with the Service Desk and other company departmental Team Leaders
To validate, test and approve knowledge proposals against set criteria
To validate Knowledge comments and action accordingly
To ensure functional alignment to company by attending weekly and quarterly knowledge meetings.
To revise and validate created Knowledge cases on a bi- annual basis
To manage user access to the Knowledge Management tools

Education and experience required:
Matric
ITIL Certification
Technical qualification related to advanced IT Desktop support
Knowledge Management related qualification post matric - Desirable
4 years Technical IT support experience
2 Years Data mining activities experience
4 Years Knowledge management systems experience
1 year Basic project management experience
Understanding SD environment, processes and business tools in terms of primary Knowledge user
