Job Description:

To manage the laboratory function on site by conducting analyses on all types of wine/raw materials at different stages of the pre-harvest, harvest and post- harvest winemaking process.
To manage all administrative functions for the laboratory and to ensure a continuous service.
Assist with new product development.
Conduct the necessary compliance audits on the cellar and warehouses.
Assist with new product development.
Implement and maintain ISO17025 for the laboratory.
Conduct the necessary laboratory tests on grapes and wine during all stages of the winemaking process (from grape to post bottling) of the wine.
Ensure that the necessary steps are followed to ensure the smooth operation of all laboratory functions.
Conduct audits to establish conformance to the Quality Plan of the Company

Budget preparation and control

Qualifications:

B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry/Natural sciences
Laboratory Processes
ISO 22000
Guidelines of the South African Wine Laboratory Association of SA
2-3 years Practical work done in laboratories during B.Sc. Degree studies
