RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced LABORATORY TECHNICIAN for a large well-established company based in the Pietermaritzburg region.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) or National Diploma (Chemistry).
5 years previous experience in a similar position is essential.
Working of GMP and HACCP quality systems would be an advantage.
Testing and administering of raw material and finished product samples.
Recording and administering of results.
Maintaining good and neat housekeeping.
Responsible for the Nutritionist for the operations of the laboratory on a daily basis and make limited decisions to ensure the continuity of productions. Prepares test samples of materials in production and conducts prescribed physical and chemical tests on samples.
