Description

• Generate new and update existing drawings in the form of free hand sketches, hand drawn and CAD system drawings
• Check and approve Department's drawings
• Maintain Configuration Control documents
• Calculate cost effects of mods and design detail changes
• Perform engineering design calculations of systems , structures and components
• Investigate causes of engineering problems and generate report
• Be familiar with materials , processes and heat treatment as pertains to company products .
• Analyse and interpret engineering test data
• Plan and control engineering projects, systems, structures and components
• Resolve quality issues by liaising with Quality Department
. Requirements:
• BSc/BEng Mechanical or BTech qualification
• Computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite as well as Syspro/ERP systems
• 3 - 5 Years experience in Mechanical Design preferably in the Mining Industry with Mining equipment
• Project Management experience
• Pro-Engineering Modelling system advantageous
• Deadline Driven
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment, managing teams.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications :
BSc / BEng Mech / B Tech
Highly proficient level computer skills ie Word , Powerpoint, Excel , Outlook
Experience :
3-5 years Mech Design experience
Project Management experience
Au fait with mining industry equipment
Pro-engineering modelling systems experience advantageous
Syspro advantageous
Pro Engineer extremely advantageous
Non-negotiable :

Must have design experience on TM3 equipment (construction or persons who have not designed electronic and mechanical components are not suitable )
