Scope of Duties:
* Direct and co-ordinate the installation, servicing, calibration, repair and testing of all instrumentation and control systems with the LNG Plant. Ensure quality during execution.
* Direct the activities of assigned personnel in the Instrument Section to exercise planned and routine maintenance. Optimise resources utilisation.
* Troubleshoot instrument failures and provides engineering solutions to prevent recurrence.
* Review equipment failure history from SAP/R3, draws trends and takes appropriate action to reduce losses.
* Issue necessary instructions to subordinates, develop procedures to streamline functioning of the system.
* Assist in vendor pre-qualification and bid technical evaluation.
* Participate in Project Hazop/Safety review as part of multi-disciplinary team.
* Review and comment on proposed field design changes.
* Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
* Ensure adequate availability of spare parts and materials for all maintenance work in the Section.
* Provide the necessary information to the Overhauls and Shutdown Dept. for the preparation and planning of routine maintenance schedules, minor plant and equipment shutdowns and the major overhaul of the process trains.
* Participate in the technical review at appropriate stages of plant modification work and subsequent construction and implementation in accordance with the Company’s Standards.
* Liaise with Clients Operations, Stores and Engineering functions, contractors and equipment manufacturers.
* Participate in the preparation of the Section’s annual revenue and capital budgets and monitors the expenditure of the Section.
* Provide opportunities for training and development of employees under his direction.
Discipline specifics (Instrument):
* Knowledge of microprocessor based equipment PLC’s and DCS.
* Knowledge of Analysers and gas chromatograph.
* Knowledge of the applicable design standards.
* Knowledge of the field instrumentation.

Minimum Requirements:
* B.Sc. in electronics, instrumentation and control.
* 10 years + experience in petrochemicals/refinery/gas plants.
* Familiarity with current industry standards, trends and guidelines.
* Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
* Age: 35 ~ 50 years.
