Learnership opportunity- Flex Support Analyst-Johannesburg area
Minimum Requirements:
Strong Technical Skills
Hold a relevant third level degree or equivalent (a Bachelor Degree with a Science or Engineering).
Basic Knowledge of Windows, UNIX and Databases concepts & SQL (MS SQL/Oracle/Sybase)
Flexcube Corporate Banking Solution Knowledge would be an Added Advantage.
Tools Knowledge: CA NSM (or any scheduler tool) as Added Advantage
External Accreditation: ITIL v3 Foundation as Added Advantage
The Incumbent is expected to participate fully in the Learnership programme.
The support analyst will be responsible for Application Monitoring, Performing Scheduled Application /Batch Health checks.
The job will provide an opportunity to get involved in the Problem Management, Automation, Tools Strategy and Service Improvement initiatives.
Ensure customer is regularly updated of any SLA voids for the Incidents.
Execute Scheduled Tasks and Intra Day Application Health checks.
Log Incidents/failures. Troubleshoot application Incidents based on the Knowledge Database.
Escalate the Incidents/failures to Level2 support as per the defined process.
Prepare/contribute to Management Reports (MI).
Support scheduled weekend activities (e.g. BCM testing, Data Centre Power down…etc) of Production applications.
Actively contribute to Knowledge Database to ensure that it is up to date.
Must be Be self-motivated, disciplined and able to work well in a team environment but also on an individual basis to ensure tasks/actions are completed.
