Lift Machine Inspector (LMI) and field service technician, Springs.
We require a qualified field service Technician to be based in our Tower Crane Service Division at our head Office in Springs.

Duties Include:

You’ll work as part of our Cranes field service team, which serves Mining, industrial, and commercial customers with products and services to ensure product reliability and efficiency, maintaining quality, and control and manage electrical networks.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments.

•Guide less experienced technicians and suggest measures to improve operations and customer service.

•Perform field service operations that may involve unusual problems requiring strong technical skills.

•Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection and adaptation or modification of equipment and procedures.

•Record, compile, and reduce data for analysis and assist in related assessment and preparation of reports.

•Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems.

•Recommend changes to improve performance and customer satisfaction, such as new equipment or modified procedures.

•Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs.

•Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts.

•Guide less experienced technicians and instruct them in proper and safe operation of equipment.

•Often work nonstandard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.


Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

•Matric or grade 12

•Electrical Trade certificate

•5 years of Field Service

•PLC knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

•LMI registration in relevant categories

•Tower crane training course

•Understanding of company products and equipment, engineering concepts, and practices.

•Good judgment in selecting most effective approaches and adapting standard practices and procedures to resolve complex, semi-technical problems.

•Strong communication skills.

•Customer-service oriented.

•Ability to work in teams or individually.

•Ability to travel 60%.

Basic Salary – R 25 300.00 per month

Medical aid – 50%

Pension – 7%
