SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Design and development of logistic equipment and packaging to ensure that all identified logistic equipment can be manufactured and delivered in accordance with the stated requirements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
CRITICAL SKILLS AND REQUIRED FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Develop logistic equipment as identified by the logistic engineers required for the effective operation and maintenance of company products. Compile, review, approve and maintain (via ECP’s) product support equipment definition, BOM and material list
· Design packaging for all identified items (A-Class Spares and Equipment) in accordance with stated requirements
· Design logistic equipment to cost, reliability, manufacturability and maintainability standards
· Compile specifications with regards to development, qualification, testing, acceptance, safety, operation, repair and inspection
· Support logistic support products through product development and in-service life cycle, i.e. concessions/deviations, quarantines, technical and field support
· Ensure that ISO design principals are followed
· Problem solving, client modification request execution
· Conduct static & dynamic testing, regarding research and development of new equipment designs
· Apply all applicable company policies, procedures and work instructions to the best of your ability including company Employee Ethics Policy number 41.
Specific design skills:
· Master environment of design skills with regards to basic calculations and conceptual creative design of the various equipment
· Knowledge of Qmuzik
· Must be accurate in work and quality
· Must be able to take responsibility for own job
· T3 (Mech.) or equivalent.
· Pro Engineer (CREO) design software skills
· AutoCad Inventor design software skills
System design skills:
· Apply systems engineering principles
General technical skills:
· Understanding of company products
· Understand & apply risk analysis principles
· Understand & apply safety regulation principles
