Our client requires the services of suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven Logistic Engineer - 6 months FTC.

Key Performance Areas
• DESIGN INFLUENCING - Provide inputs to Specifications, Hardware Design and Configuration to ensure that the designs are influenced and optimized sufficiently for standardization, supportability and maintainability. Attend Design Reviews, Configuration Control Board Meetings and Project Meetings.
• RELIABILITY AND MAINTAINABILITY - Compile Reliability Growth Plans, perform Reliability Allocations and Predictions, perform Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis, Implement FRACAS and manage Failure Review Board activities.
• LOGISTIC SUPPORT ANALYSIS - Perform Functional Analysis, Identify Mission Critical Items (MSI), perform Task Analysis (Operating and Maintenance), perform Resource Analysis, perform Level of Repair Analysis and do LSA Reporting. Compile DD1376 (List of Recommended Spares) for Codification.
• LOGISTIC ELEMENT DEVELOPMENT - Provide and maintain definition of Supply Support Items, provide inputs to Manuals & Catalogue development, perform PHS & T Analysis, provide inputs to Support Equipment development and provide inputs to Training Development.
• PRODUCT SUPPORT - Provide Technical Support to Client (internal and external) on Supply Items and to Production during delivery of Supply Items.
• ILS MANAGEMENT - Provide inputs to ILS Plan, Support Concept and Maintenance Concept. Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis.
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Do Logistic Project Planning and Control to ensure that the Time and Cost Constraints are met.

Minimum Requirements
• Must be able to communicate on all levels.
• Must have technical knowledge.
• Must be able to interpret design drawings and derive functions and functional interactions
• Must be able to influence Design Engineers way of thinking.
• Must have sound knowledge of Mill Standard practices.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must know Mill Std 1388 1A and 2B.
• Must have the ability to perform LSA in accordance with Mill Std 1388.
• Must be able to use the EAGLE software and Qmuzik to perform the analysis as required.
• Must be able to manipulate LSA Reports to provide inputs for Logistic Element development.
• Must have knowledge of Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transport requirements and specifications.
• Must be able to communicate direct to Client and User.
• Must have knowledge of the interface between the Logistic definitions and the hardware Configuration baseline.
• Must be able to convert the URS and Mission Statement into a Maintenance Concept.
• Must have Project Management knowledge and Software application skills.
• Must have Std 10 (Matric/Grade 12)
• Must have Engineering or Technical National Diploma (or equivalent).
• Must have Technical Trade/Technical Experience in related field.
