LOGISTICS COORDINATOR – LOCAL/DOMESTIC MARKETS
An available position for a Logistics Coordinator – Local/Domestic Markets, in the Wellington area.

Qualifications
Diploma/Degree

Experience & Knowledge
Work experience in the logistics of fruit coordination with specific reference to the domestic market, in customers and the transport arena will strengthen application
Computer skills a necessity especially Microsoft Excel
Must have an interest in logistics i.e. operations/documentation/systems

Quick thinker, very pro-active in work
Dedicated and loyal, be able to follow clear instructions
Attention to detail is a pre-requisite
Time Management and Prioritization must be excellent
Good communication skills upward and downward – is critical.
I.e. be able to explain to a truck where cargo need to be picked-up/delivered
Need to be able to negotiate coldroom managers to stay open and await cargo to be delivered
or loaded long after working hours

Job Description
Coordinate outbound logistics – road freight of stock from farms/coldrooms to customers
Transport coordination, loading and off-loading nationally of produce
Control transport functionality – be on top of transport situation and updates thereof.
Be available 24/7 on-call for transport queries and coordination decisions that need to be made
Manage third party service providers & their outputs, i.e. Transporters, Brokers, Cold Rooms
Manage and interact professionally with internal colleagues & clients, on logistics matters.
System management:
• Processing loadouts in NAV
• Processing of documentation related to loadings
• Liaising with third parties regarding electronic data / queries
• Keeping data integrity & reports for traceability
Assisting the Logistics Manager in daily logistics activities

Remuneration
Negotiable, depending on experience and capability evaluated in interview
