Job Description:
FMCG Logistics Inbound Supervisor

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager

Receive all inbound from inter depot's and from Vendors as informed by demand planning.
Always communicate the volume of receiving with other warehouse departments.
Compile all inbound analysis.
Monitor truck turnaround time and improve efficiencies in the inbound process.
Supervise the team's daily tasks and assist them when under pressure.
Perform the de-briefing of all inbound delivery vehicles.
Daily debriefing of POD's and collected Uplifts on arrival into the depot.
Daily control of Smadar processing (POD's and Uplift documents)
Daily update on DSA Quality Management report.
Conduct quality inspections on stock and random pallets prior to permitting it into the warehouse.
Follow the stock rejection process if standards for acceptable stock are not met including communication to relevant parties.
Monitor and control all vendors' stock damages and CHEP pallets IN & OUT (keep record of all damages and Vendor returns).
Diligently check expiry dates of stock prior to entering the warehouse.
Ensure a safe and healthy workplace at all times.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly update of H&S Monitoring plan.
Ensure the correct delivery documentation is handed over to receiving.
Manage and ensure compliance to standard operating procedures.
Inspect vehicle conditions when deliveries take place to ensure quality of the product.
Maintain all QA standards as prescribed by the company and their Vendors.
Provide relevant OJT training and ''Follow through training” on SOP's
Ensure the receiving process is conducted in accordance with GWP standards.
Find ways to do things differently which can increase productivity and utilization of staff and workload.
Daily meetings with team.
Ensure all inbounds are posted once completed.
Report any delays or difficulties in the daily process to the Depot Manager.
Update Depot Manager on areas of concerns and issues that could be detrimental to the business.
Completed Matric or equivalent accredited by SAQA.
The ideal candidate will have had 3+ years of relevant receiving/inbound experience in the FMCG environment.
Working Knowledge of SAP (MS Office knowledge advantageous)
A good understanding and working knowledge of safety & housekeeping standards.
Able to work overtime if and when required.
