Leader in the Hospitality / Travel Industry requires an Luxury Travel Advisor to join their team at their Kempton Park (East Rand) Operations

The successful incumbent will be required to generate revenue, maximize productivity, maintain high service levels and reach targets through the fulfillment of email, phone, web and direct enquiries for new or existing high end customers. You will be responsible to manage the concierge desk for and to assist high end customers with specific, experiences, itineraries, group bookings and tour plans.

Key Performance Areas are:
• To customize hotel/game lodge bookings, itineraries, group bookings/ corporate/ team building bookings/ conferences / in order for the customer to use all / any selected products.
• To deliver prompt, efficient and effective service within required timeframes in order to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• To ensure pre-payment is received by specified dates in order to avoid penalties & ensure bookings are still secure.
• To convert a maximum number of calls and enquiries into secured bookings which increase our revenue & margin.
• To build relationships with suppliers in order to ensure the best possible rates and confirmed bookings.
• To broaden and maintain product knowledge in order to extend the best possible service to customers.
• To perform general administrative tasks required within the department.

Minimum requirements for this position
• Grade 12 (Essential)
• Tertiary qualification in travel & tourism (Essential)
• Amadeus qualification (Essential)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Tour Operator (Wholesale travel department) or retail travel department (IATA registered), dealing with supplier contracts, handling domestic / regional/ Indian Ocean Islands reservations for both corporate and leisure (Essential)
• 2 – 5 years’ experience dealing with corporates / groups / MICE (meetings/incentives/conferences/ exhibitions) weddings/ team buildings (Essential)
• At least 2 years’ experience reading & interpreting supplier contracts with specific experience in costing of bookings and package itineraries. (Essential)
• Experience in selling and booking international product (Desirable)
• Experience in handling safari packages and game lodge bookings within Southern Africa (Desirable)
