An experienced Machine Setter, who has worked on blow moulding machines (with mould change and tool change experience), is required by a manufacturing concern in Pinetown. This position is a 3 shift rotation based role (7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7am) Mon - Fri and the odd Sat if and when required.

Salary offered: R10 000 – R16 000 basic pm plus company benefits (shift allowance, Pension & Med Aid).

Duties (amongst others):

•Setting machines according to the best practices;
•Conducting mould and material changes and trials as required;
•Reporting and assisting with machine and mould maintenance requirements;
•Ensuring that machinery and moulds are effectively maintained, serviced and stored;
•Ensuring top quality products are produced;
•Practicing a high standard of housekeeping and safety;
•Supervising packers and QC on shift;
•Completing all production related paperwork timeously;
•Prepared to work overtime when required
•Assisting in achieving a production efficiency of 85% - 90%;
•Ensuring that raw material wastage levels are maintained below 1.4% of material used;

Minimum requirements:

•Matric certificate is essential;
•Some technical qualification i.e. Engineering or Production would be advantageous;
•Blow moulding machine experience, includes setting and maintenance
