JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The incumbent will be responsible to ensure plant availability above
levels of 90% through world class preventative maintenance and enhancing equipment safety. To supervise and lead the maintenance team.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
•? To manage and supervise the performance of the maintenance team
•? Ensure a plant availability level in excess of 90% by maintaining equipment to world class standards.
•? Operating an effective preventive maintenance programme.
•? Apply all safety legislation in the maintenance methodology.
•? Promote a safety culture that incorporates safety in all aspects of the working environment

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•?Grade 12 and Computer Literacy
•?Relevant technical qualifications
•?Valid driver’s licence + own vehicle
•?NOSA or other official safety organisation training.

EXPERIENCE:
•?7 years post apprenticeship experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•?Superior electrical and mechanical maintenance capabilities.
•?Sound knowledge of the OHS Act.
•?Excellent fault finding ability.
•?Good knowledge of electrical drawings.
•?Supervisory/people skills.
•?Able to perform without constant supervision and to strict deadlines.
•?PLC (Siemens S7) knowledge would be advantageous.
