Efkon South Africa is currently sourcing for Maintenance Site Technicians to join our dynamic team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
Responsible for Hardware Maintenance on specific toll plaza

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reduce departmental and company overheads and/or expenses;
2. Ensuring that there are no penalties awarded due to Maintenance Is-sues;
3. Delivering client acceptable Maintenance on time and within budget;
4. Reducing overtime/additional payments to Maintenance Staff;
5. Cost cutting by ensuring responsible use of tools & new equipment by Maintenance teams;
6. Ensure efficient spare management;
7. Delivery to provided deadlines;
8. Proper maintenance on AVC software and hardware:
• AVC Area;
• Loops;
• Treadles; and
• Sensors.
9. Proper maintenance on Lane Controller Software and hardware on all lane devices:
• Receipt Printer;
• Swipe Card reader;
• Traffic light;
• Patron fare display;
• CCTV, Frame Grabber, VGS, DVR and QLS Cameras;
• Entry / exit Booms;
• TCT; and
• Intercom System.
10. 10. Proper maintenance on:
• MIS;
• Frame Grabber and or VGS, DVR and QLS Systems hardware;
• LSDU; and
• DCS.
11. Daily, weekly, monthly checklists and reports;
12. Regular Site Inspections and Inspection Reports;
13. Ensuring delivery of effective maintenance within the scales agreed with client on Hardware;
14. Implementation, maintenance and use of the HardCat Asset Man-agement and Helpdesk system;
15. Display of Good Work Ethic;
16. Adherence to Policies & Procedures;
17. Enhancement of Efkon's image and brand;
18. Display of Initiative (also in respect of steps taken to meet dead-lines/perform task as expected);
19. Management style - communication, discipline, support to staff, conflict resolution, planning of staff duties, administrative duties;
20. Own work habits – amount of work, accuracy, handling of difficult situations, ability to work under pressure, assertiveness, assuming re-sponsibility, decision making skills, independent work, commitment, problem resolution skills;
21. Communication Skills; and
22. Ensure preventative hardware maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
NQF4 or equivalent (non negotiable); and
Experience in hardware (electrical and electronics) an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of Hardware installed and used by Efkon System;
Extensive electrical and electronics knowledge;
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft and Windows;
Assertiveness, Conflict resolution, Time management, Stress management; and
Hard working, Friendly, Honest, Self Starter, Reliable, Good Communication Shills, Team Player, attention to Detail.
