*** Maintenance Supervisor ***

Top Manufacturer of plumbing supplies firm seeks Maintenance Controller. Ensure that maintenance is carried out according to spec and schedule.

What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Manufacture of plumbing supplies sector. All duties would take place in this context.

Planning
* Create a RCM based Maintenance Schedule
* Ensure that Maintenance Software is the right information
* Ensure metrics are adhered to i.e. OEE, Remaining Useful Life etc...
* Utilise value analysis to make decisions like repairing vs replacing. Or parts purchase vs parts redesign. Of machine upgrade vs. machine modification.

Supervising

* Ensure Maintenance Schedule Adhered to
* Inspections on work
* Ensure processes such as work-orders are followed
* Assist with diagnostics
* Sign-off of new installations and upgrades

Leading
* Ensure staff are fairly treated. Make sure IR climate is positive.

Training
* Coach and develop staff
* Create developmental plans

Safety
* Ensure Compliance to OSH Act
* Investigate incidents

Risk
* Create reports of equipment and production risks


Key Job Deliverables:

* Create a culture of discipline. Ensure fixes are permanent and production is uninterrupted
* Clean out under performers
* Develop team skills

Background work experience:

* 10+ years maintenance artisan
* 3+ years as a maintenance supervisor
* Engineering or trade qualification such as: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Millwright
* Mechanical Maintenance
* Electrical Maintenance
* Instrumentation and Scada Maintenance
* Adv: Has previously worked in metal or plastics Manufacturing Environment

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of 450K to 550K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
