Our client within the Automotive Sector, seeks to employ a Maintenance Technician for Welding within the Body Shop Maintenance Department.

Requirements:

• Have a National Nated Diploma/ National Diploma/ BTech Mechatronics in Electrical Engineering with relevant maintenance experience.
• Have recognized Tucker, Nimak, Sierra, Bosch Welding Training.
• Have a minimum of 3 years Body Shop maintenance experience.
• Have an understanding of electrical/electronic and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
• Have strong analytical, diagnostic capabilities and problem solving ability.
• Be willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, public holidays, plant shut down, whenever necessary and/or required.
• Be willing to be on standby arrangements. 

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintenance of electronically and mechanically controlled machinery and equipment.
• Maintain, program and manage all stud welding equipment in plant, which includes Stud Welding, Projection Welding, Weldfast Welding Equipment.
• Implement Maintenance program on all Tucker, Nimak, Sierra, Bosch Welding Equipment. 
• Upgrade of all stud/nut weld equipment with new technology by researching new welding technology.
• Keep track and make sure all welding systems’ spares are available at all times.
• Document welding maintenance, testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Maintain Group standards with respect to stud/nut welding equipment installations.
• Fault Find on all Body Shop Tucker stud welding systems in the event of a break down.
• Install, commission, program and maintain all new welding systems in Body Shop.
• Operate and optimise KUKA VKCR2/4 Robots programmes.
