Education & Qualifications:
• A recognized professional accounting qualification for example:
• CIMA (Cost & Management Accountant)
• ACA (Chartered Accountant)
• ACCA (Certified Chartered Accountant)
• CIPFA (Public Finance Accountant)
• A thorough practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.

Computer Literacy:
• Proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet applications and macros.
• Must be experienced in operating in a computerized accounting environment with Syspro experience an advantage.
• Proficient in Syspro Financial Systems

Key Performance Area
• To produce timely and reliable management information reports as requested.
• Preparing periodic financial statements, including budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
• To investigate variances against budgets and provide analysis of differences.
• Preparation of annual budgets and cashflow forecasts.
• To prepare the quarterly VAT return.
• Monthly cost meetings with management and corrective action plans.
• Providing a support service for all departments and the management team to assist those making financial decisions.
• Advise management on wastage.
• Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
• Offering professional judgment on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
• Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers.
• Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Prepare and complete tenders & quotations.
• Prepare and conclude business cases.
• Advising executives and directors.
• Controlling financial expenditure.
• Preparing financial statements.
• Appraising financial information systems.
• Revising old strategies and implementing good practices.
• Evaluating productivity models.
• Assisting the management team.
• Proficient in Syspro Financial Systems
• Develop and control Management accounting systems.
• Helping the company be compliant with industry regulations

Required work experience:
• Previous experience in a manufacturing business with standard and job costing necessary.
• The ability to manage and motivate a team.
• High degree of communication skills particularly attuned to working well with non-finance managers/supervisors.
• Firsthand experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Used to working in fast moving environments providing accurate and timely information to a high standard.
• Experience and understanding the manufacturing of heavy duty equipment.
