What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Financial Services sector. All duties would take place in this context.

Budgeting, Forecasting, Cashflow Planning, Capital Forecasts

* Develop a Group Budget Model
* Collect information from various managers to keep model current
* Analysis based on Budget Model
* Cashflow and Capital Forecasts
* Prepare rolling forecasts (Predicted vs. Budget)
* Stress Scenareo Testing

Cost Accounting

* Monthly management accounts
* Ensure Budgeted and Actual Costs in the Ledger
* Variance analysis and management
* Financial trend and key ratio analysis

Product Viability Analysis and Company Financial Viability Analysis

* Work with modeling specialist to develop income/cost model of the business
* Assess viablity of products, channels, group structures etc...
* Make recommendations for improvement
* Assess viability of new business opportunities and new business models

Tax Reporting

* Create tax management framework
* Manage all taxes e.g. VAT, Income Tax etc...
* Ensure organisation is tax compliant and in SARS good books

Financial Accounting

* Management financial accounting including Monthly Financial Accounts for each division, Annual Financial Statements, Recons
* Ensure accurate cash management
* Oversee debtors and creditors
* Setup financial processes and controls

* BComm Accounting (Adv: CA(SA)/CIMA)

* Product Viability Analysis and Company Financial Viability Analysis
* Tax Reporting
* Financial Accounting
* Advanced Excel Skills
* Adv: Banking Financial Management Experience
* Adv: Microsoft Great Plains
